Children's Programs

From Memorial Day through Labor Day, children can participate in a variety of activities at this NC family-friendly mountain resort.

The Kids’ Club

During June, July and August, our younger guests enjoy programs 6 days a week from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. under the caring guidance of Julia
Boeve, Recreation Director. The age range for members is 3 to 9 years. A variety of supervised, age-related activities are offered. These include donkey cart rides, hiking, swimming, nature walks, games, arts & crafts, and picnic lunches. Each evening from 6 to 9 p.m., there are fun events such as hayrides, pajama parties, Mexican fiestas, games and cookouts. The goal of the Kids’ Club staff is to provide happy vacation memories for each attendee. Our younger guests are very special!

For children too young to be in the Kids’ Club, babysitters can usually be arranged with adequate notice.

Youth at High Hampton

Youth at High Hampton (YAHH) is a special program for guests ages 11-15. Held every Monday, Wednesday and Friday during the summer, this program engages teens with activities such as nature hikes, geocaching and kayaking. Bonfires, Frisbee golf, volleyball, and games build lasting friendships.

The Teen Room

Teenagers have their own special place - The Teen Room. It is a gathering place with foosball, ping pong, air hockey and TV. There are scheduled activites such as bonfires, ultimate Frisbee, tennis and pizza parties.

Lawn Games

Equipment is available for croquet, bocci, corn toss, tetherball, volleyball, badminton, putting, and other lawn games.

The casual setting encourages families and children to mix, mingle and play together, and many make life-long friendships, scheduling annual vacations at High Hampton the same time each year.
