Built on almost 2 acres adjacent to the 6th hole green, the Hippen home is set in the heart of the old Chatooga Wood neighborhood. This recently updated four-bedroom+loft, four-bathroom house includes three bedrooms with king-size beds, and one room with two twin beds, all located on the main level. An upstairs loft with a birds-eye view of the great room, perfect for younger guests, includes two additional twin beds, a doll house, and lots of room to play.
The great room includes cathedral windows facing the mountains, a wood-burning fireplace, a game table for four or more, a large, adjustable television, and plenty of comfortable seating. The dining room, open to the great room, includes a custom-crafted natural-edge spalted maple table that seats 8-10. A full kitchen includes the usual amenities and implements, and a propane gas grill is available for outdoor cooking. Off the great room is a large backyard deck with views of Chimney Top and Rock Mountain through the trees. A large lawn ringed by mature shrubbery is available for outdoor games and romping.
Walking out the front driveway of the Hippen house takes you to the edge of the 6th green, and from there, it’s a 10 minute walk down the path of the 7th green to the Inn, with its dining room, tavern, and expansive view of Hampton Lake and the famous 8th green. The Hippen home includes all new mattresses, central heat and air, cable, and wireless internet.
The Hippen house rents Sunday to Sunday only from June 11-August 26, 2017. The rest of the year is a three-night minimum.
